Dear IMDA Members,
The IMDA wishes to inform you that, following a thorough review and consultation, the IMDA committee has ended its partnership with Motorway with immediate effect.
The IMDA exists to advocate for and improve trading conditions for its members. Where a partnership no longer aligns with that mission—or where its ability to influence outcomes is limited—it is appropriate to part ways.
A recent incident involving an IMDA member confirmed that the association’s role in the relationship had become marginal. Although the IMDA was successful in assisting with a positive outcome for the member, it became clear the association’s influence within the partnership had significantly diminished.
The IMDA wishes Motorway well in its future endeavours and trusts its engagement with dealers will continue in other forms. The IMDA remains committed to building partnerships that deliver tangible value, transparency, and advocacy for its members.
To be clear, the IMDA is not suggesting members should pull away from using Motorway but instead have a clear understanding of the Terms and Conditions they have signed up to.
The IMDA understands and respects that each member will have their own preferences and priorities for vehicle sourcing, and we are not seeking to influence these in any way by this action.
